Funtown Chowdown Food Truck Festival Coming to Frankenmuth August 13

FRANKENMUTH, Mich. The next Funtown Chowdown Food Truck Festival is coming to Frankenmuth River Place Shops on Thursday, August 13, with more than 20 food trucks, live entertainment, themed activities and drinks.

The festival will run from 2 to 9 p.m. in the parking lot east of the shopping complex at 925 South Main Street. Admission is free, although visitors will purchase their own food, beverages and other items. The August theme will be the Color Splash Bash.

The scheduled food truck lineup includes The Cheese Trap, The Dairy Firm, Kona Ice of Saginaw, Sugar High Bakery, Smokin Yoc’s, Big Jim’s & Annie’s Smoke House, Detroit Sibling Rivalry, Twisted Burger Food Truck, Tracy B’s Loaded Food Truck, Hog Haven BBQ & Catering and Shakey’s on the Road Grill & Catering.

Other scheduled vendors include I Love Pig, the Bavarian Inn Cluck Truck, Un Poco Loco, Cousins Maine Lobster, D&W Street Eatery, Tru Pizza Co., Pac, Spud Hut, Pull on This Chimney Cakes and Taqueria Flores & More.

Visitors will be able to choose from barbecue, burgers, lobster, pizza, tacos, loaded potatoes, baked goods, frozen treats, chimney cakes and other festival favorites. Alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages will also be available, along with live entertainment throughout the afternoon and evening.

Guests can stop for a quick meal or spend several hours sampling different food trucks, enjoying the entertainment and exploring River Place Shops and nearby Frankenmuth attractions.
